TEAM DUTIES / VOLUNTEERS

Travel Team Managers will require parents to help support the team with various team duties. These do NOT qualify for DIBS hours but may require you to register as a volunteer. Penalty box, clock and book do not require you to register. If you are a Locker Room Supervisor or a Dryland Trainer, you are required to register. RYHA VOLUNTEER/DIBS LIST

RYHA VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

Families are required to work ten (10) hours of volunteer time during the season regardless of the number of registered players. A minimum of three (3) hours must be completed at one of the RYHA hosted tournaments.

If the volunteer requirements are not fulfilled, you will be charged at a rate of $50 per hour, up to $500.00 (per family) against your payment methond on file.

RYHA Travel and Coaches (4 per team), Travel Team Managers (maximum of 2 per team), Mite Coaches (4 per team) and one Mite Team Manager per team will have their volunteer hours fulfilled.

Board Member and Coordinators will have their volunteer hours fulfilled as defined per position.

AAHA VOLUNTEER/DIBS LIST

AAHA VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

AAHA families must volunteer twelve (12) hours of their time to the Association. Association Hours can be used for Registration, Tryouts, Tournaments, and other activities that assist the Association in running the AAHA Hockey program as a whole. 

You will still be required to assist your child's team throughout the season and those needs will be defined by your team's Manager and Coaches. Team hours do not count towards your volunteer requirement.

The fee for the Volunteer Buy-out is $400. Once you have fulfilled your 12 Association Hours, the deposit in NGIN will be tagged as completed and you will not be charged. Should you not fulfill those hours by March 31, 2025, your deposit will be tagged as incomplete and you will see a charge to your account/debit/credit card. There will be no exceptions to this timeline as it causes a hardship on the Association's budget.
